Timahoe was a scary place to be last Friday as the boys and girls of Scoil Mhuire Fatima dressed up in their scariest costumes for the annual Halloween fancy dress competition.
Witches, vampires, ghosts, zombies and sharks were the order of the day as the children really got into the spirit of Halloween.
The event was run in conjunction with the Green Schools Initiative so there was extra points on offer to those who made their costumes from recycled materials.
The children (and their parents) certainly didn't disappoint as there were some outstanding creations on display.
Cardboard boxes, soup cans, plastic bottles, newspapers and wet suits were just some of the items that were transformed into the cleverest of costumes, ranging from blood baths to deep sea divers; from sharks to mermaids and from raindrops to umbrellas.
