Training schedule

Tuesday 7.30 p.m. meet at St Fintans Car Park, Portlaoise (opposite Portlaoise Prison)

Thursday 7.30 p.m. meet at St Fintans Car Park, Portlaoise (opposite Portlaoise Prison)

Sunday 10.30 a.m. meet at Emo Court Car Park

Training session can vary from 6k or 10k runs, on road or grass, or also take in Fartlek sessions.

Training

Training for juveniles has finished August 23rd, however senior training is still going ahead.

Emo Rath AC

Training

Emo Rath training is suspended for the month of August.

Mountmellick Athletic Club

Birr AC 5K Road Race:

Several athletes from Laois took part in the Birr AC 5k road race last week, with Colin Grennan and Adam Holden both representing Mountmellick AC.
Both lads ran a decent race, with Adam finishing 1st junior male and Colin finishing up as 3rd junior male, so well done to you both.

Club Training

Training has now finished for the summer, and we are due to return to regular training on Monday August 27th.

Training for juveniles has finished for the summer but seniors as follows:

Monday: Seniors St. Fintans: Meet at 8 - run at 8.15pm

Tuesday: Seniors St. Fintans: Meet at 6.15 - run at 6.30 p.m.

Wednesday: Seniors Portlaoise Track: Meet at 7 p.m.

Thursday: Seniors Portlaoise Track: Meet at 6 p.m.

Summer Camp

The 17th annual St. Abban’s Summer camp was held during the week with a big turnout. Many thanks to all club members, parents and leaders who helped in organising and running the camp.


Training

Senior training Tuesday and Friday 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. Cost will be just €2 per session, contact Bernard, Michael or Gavin for more information. Juvenile training suspended for the month of August.

St. Michael’s AC

Senior Training

Senior training takes place twice each week from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday training takes place at Emo House – meeting at 7 p.m. in the back-car park. Thursday training takes place in Corrig. New members are always welcome at any time, just turn up at one of our training sessions, and give it a go!

Senior members still meet each Saturday morning at 9 a.m. in the Lidl car park (beside Odlums) for a long steady run. Distance range from 5K to 20K, and anyone is welcome to join in for an easy run and a friendly chat on the scenic country roads and forest trails around Portarlington, Emo and Killenard.
