St. Abbans AC

Irish Life National League Championship 2018

Our St Abbans Ladies repeated history as the overall premier winners in Tullamore (August 19th), with some good individual performances key in helping their club build their overall scores in the Club League. They have shown great team work in the first two rounds, many doing two and three events to cover for those injured or unavailable. Saragh Buggy (Long Jump and Triple Jump), Nicole Kehoe Dowling (Discus and Shot Putt) and Ruby Millet (100m and 200m), who each won two events, Maisy O Sullivan(800m) Cheryl Nolan(1500m) and Daena Kealy (HJ) each wining 1 event helped lead the Team to a great victory in the Women’s Premier Division. This is the first year for us to compete in the steeplechase event, with Sinead Kelly making the event her own. Colette Brennan started the day with the 1500m walk Other valuable points were made up by Lauren Kealy (400m), Laura Graham (4x100m), Orla Davis (400mh), Ailish Brennan (4x400m), Caitlin McDonald (3000m) and Sinead Kelly (3000m Steeplechase) We finished with an impressive 111 points.

Thank you to all our fabulous coaches that put in so much time and effort all year round, all our committee members and our great supporters. Everybody working together is what makes days like today possible.
