Look back to 2003 Laois GAA awards when the O'Moore county celebrated double glory

Laois GAA celebrated double Gaelic Footbally glory in 2003 at its annual awards night in a year in which the O'Moore men beat Dublin minor and senior football teams along the way.

Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, Micko Dwyer, GAA President Nicky Brennan were among the special guests to join Laois GAA to celebrate the Leinster Senior Football Championship victory and the winning of the All-Ireand Minor Championship.

Laois played Dublin four times that year in minor and senior grades. 

The senior team beat Dublin in the senior championship while the minor team payed Dublin three times. 

The minors lost the Leinster Senior Final to Dublin on the same day that Laois beat Kildare in the Leinster Senior Final. They qualified for the All-Ireland Final through the back door where they met Dublin again in the final.

The match ended in a draw but Laois won the replay in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow
