A Laois village has been hit by illegal dumping overnight and the local community is appealing for information.
A material similar to rubber mats has been dumped in a ditch in the Castlecuffe area of Clonaslee.
The pictures in the gallery above show the material, the community is seeking any information about where the material came from.
Anyone with information is asked to report it to Gardai or Laois County Council.
Elsewhere, there was a burglary overnight the NCT centre in Tullamore.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of Cloncollig Industrial Estate, Portarlington Road, Tullamore between 1:30am and 03:00am is asked to contact gardai.
Gardai are currently establishing what property was stolen from the NCT centre.
