One of the first 2019 St Patrick's Day parades in Ireland took place in Portarlington on the Laois Offaly border where pupils, teachers and parents in Portarlington got the St Patrick's Day celebrations off to an early start this year.
By organising the event Presentation Primary School Parents Council also made sure the town would not be without some celebration of St Patrick's Day this year.
