Pictures: A look back at Sarah Conlon's year as Laois Rose 2013

The search is officially on for the Laois Rose 2018 and excitement is building around the county to see who will go for the coveted title this year.

The Leinster Express as proud media sponsor is celebrating the 2018 launch with a look back at some great pictures taken over the years as previous Laois Roses represented the county.

First up from our archives is 2013 Laois Rose Sarah Conlon.

Portlaoise native Sarah is the youngest of four children and daughter of Tony and Marie Conlon.

During her year as Laois Rose, Sarah travelled to Chernobyl and found a love and passion for the work there. She has since returned with Adi Roche.

The trip to Chernobyl with her fellow roses back in 2014 was emotional.

“My experience as Laois Rose has been phenomenal. The memories I have made, the people I have met and the events I have taken part in I will carry dearly forever," Sarah said at the time.

From Green Flags to Christmas lights and launching events all over the county, Sarah represented the county in style.
