RTÉ Ear to the Ground presenter helps Laois CCTV crime prevention project

Woodenbridge Community Alert extend a huge thanks to all who supported their recent Blueway fundraising walk supporting the CCTV Project.

This walk was led RTÉ Ear to the Ground farming progragramme presenter Helen Carroll. Apart from thanking the Kilkenny native from coming along, the organisers thanked a host of others.

Credit went to Tara and the catering team at Newtown Mill, All stewards along with car parking at Dooley's field, Registration and ticket sellers, Sound equipment Tommy Ferns, An Garda, Local Press, Andrew Bailey Woodcraft, All Landowners,The many sponsors which include Supervalue Rathdowney,  Supermac's Ballacolla,  Glanbia Ballacolla, O'Malley's, The Brewery, Kane's Service Station together with many local individual raffle sponsors.

The following were among the prize winners: Nora Browne, Pat Kirwan, ML Browne, Jack Dollard, Catherine Fitzpatrick, John Browne, Larry Dunne, Soirse Galvin, Peter Browne and Breda Doran.

The day's event netted a total of €1,450 euro.
