A pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a collision with a vehicle in Laois this evening.
Laois Gardaí said a man in his 70s was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore following the incident shortly after 7pm on Main Street in Abbeyleix. No update was available on his condition.
Gardai said the road was closed while the incident was dealt with. It has since reopened.
Abbeyleix Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them on (057) 873 0580.
