It's finally here. Following weeks of anticipation the two finalists for Laois' All Time Great have been announced.
The semi-finals polls saw a huge surge in voting, with voting for the four candidates coming in from all over the world.
Pat Critchley, a man who hardly needs any introduction, found himself up against Kevin O'Higgins, one of Laois' most famous historical figures. In the end Pat triumphed, taking 78% of the vote, as opposed to 22% for Kevin O'Higgins.
In the other semi final Bishop Daniel Delany, the founder of the Patrician and Brigidine orders faced off against one of Laois' best known sports people, Anne Keenan Buckley. The Bishop polled an impressive 62%, with Anne Keenan Buckley on 38%.
So now it's down to Bishop Daniel Delany and Pat Critchley.
One of them will be declared Laois' All Time Great next week. Voting will remain open until Monday, February 25, with polls closing at 1pm.
