Laois is home to the biggest music and arts festival in Ireland and it has just won another award.
Electric Picnic has been voted as Festival of the Year in the Ticketmaster Awards 2023.
The awards are held by public vote, reviewing the best of events throughout the whole of the past year. Over 25,000 votes were cast.
Electric Picnic came in ahead of All Together Now, Forbidden Fruit, Longitude, Emerge, Indiependence, Sea Sessions and Kaleidoscope.
Live Act of the Year is voted as Dermot Kennedy.
The Sports Event of the year is the GAA All Ireland Football Semi-Final – Kerry v Dublin.
The Theatre & Arts Event of the Year is Riverdance.
Intimate Gig of the Year winner is Paolo Nutini.
Comedy Event of the Year is Joanne McNally.
The Irish Rising Star for 2023 is Silverbacks.
Ticketmaster Ireland MD is Keith English.

The already sold out Electric Picnic 2023 will take place in Stradbally, Laois from September 1 to 3, with headliners including Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi and The Killers.
