Man of the moment Ryan Tubridy who will host his last Late Late Show this Friday, May 26, surprised customers and staff at a Laois restaurant this week.

Tubs dropped into Stradbally Fayre Café, also a favourite spot for President Michael D Higgins to get his favourite apple tart.

The restaurant in the Electric Picnic town shared lovely photos (below) as Ryan Tubridy posed with some delighted customers and staff on Wednesday, May 24.

"Another Celebrity in the cafe. Main man of the moment Mr Ryan Tubridy. Thank you for all the entertainment over the years.
He will surely be missed," they posted.

The presenter had announced that with his radio show crew he was heading across the Midlands on the day to visit the University of Limerick, and making some impromptu stops along the way.

The new presenter of the Late Late Show is Patrick Kielty.

Tubridy will continue presenting his RTÉ One radio weekday morning show from 9am to 10am.
