Comedian Rory O'Connor also well known as 'Rory Stories' spoke on Ireland AM about the time his jokes were not well received.

The county Meath native spoke on the Virgin Media TV show about one of his performances at a wedding where a member of the wedding party 'started' on him after one of his jokes was taken the wrong way.

Speaking on Ireland AM Rory stated: "I actually got started on at a wedding a few years ago because someone didn't take a joke well and he was actually part of the grooms men so it was really awkward.

"People thought it was part of the sketch and afterwards the groom apologized to me saying your man had a bit too much but that's the risk you take with these gags.

"After that I kind of stopped doing weddings as it turned me off them."

Presenter Tommy Bowe joked with Rory about his experience at one particular wedding where O'Connor did his sketch and bombarded the former Irish rugby player with light-hearted insults.

Bowe joked: "I was at a wedding and we were just sitting around the table enjoying it, having our cheese and our glass of wine and some fella with a paddy cap comes up and starts abusing me."

Rory O'Connor is a comedian who has amassed who has over 1.2 million followers across his social media platforms.
