EP's 'Little Picnic' announces fun-filled family events

Little Picnic is open to anyone attending Electric Picnic with children, and is located on the back lawn of Stradbally Estate.

From 2pm to 7pm on Friday, and 11am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday, there will be fun for all the family.

Here is a selection of what they have to offer:

There will be discos and music for all to show off their dance steps, and have a blast with friends. 

A Kids Disco with Will Softly will have funky classics to the latest hits, and the Ballymore Eustace Brass Bandwill introduce families to the fantastic world of brass instruments. 

Attendees can make a splash with colours and creativity at a tie dye workshop with Lollipop Apparel.

The Gaiety School of Acting will hold a workshop exploring the magical songs of Disney's Frozen!

This immersive experience invites young performers to sing, act, and dance to their favourite Frozen hits. Or why not explore a whole new world with the Disney Musical Theatre – the fun, hit-filled workshop will teach you how to sing loud and proud.

Families are welcomed to come and join the circus- learn Tight Wire Walking, Juggling, Plate Spinning, Diabolo and many more circus skills with expert teachers. 

There will be an exciting story time adventure with Johnny Magory, where you'll meet Johnny and his friends as they embark on thrilling escapades in the Irish wilderness.

 For all young yogis, there will be Family Yoga workshops. There will also be a laugh out loud Laughter Yoga session for kids.

School Fitness Ireland will have fun equipment for use all day such as wobble boards, gymnastics beams, soccer balls and jumping games.

Let your creative ideas flow at Little Picnic with Trace Colour Build & Fly Kite Workshop suitable for children 5 upwards and a kite to take home and fly! 

There will be fun-filled beginner Ukulele Workshops, with Alto School of Music designed for children ages 6 to 12. By the end of the workshop, participants will be ready to play cool tunes and share the joy of music with family and friends.

Families can unleash their imagination and creativity at the exciting Pomini Arts & Crafts Station, where you can turn ordinary materials into extraordinary masterpieces.

Embark on a mesmerizing journey of creativity at Electric-Collage! Children will delve into the captivating world of collage art to create enchanting landscapes bursting with texture and imagination.

Guided by Celina Buckley, attendees will experiment with a vibrant array of materials, bringing their dream landscapes to life. Celina will also help children to unleash their inner designer and storyteller with CoverVerse, children will embark on an exhilarating journey of book cover design inspired by the festival's enchanting atmosphere.

The Bubble Guys will provide a bubble-tastic show that will blow your mind! Watch in wonder as the bubble magicians create bubbles of all sizes – from tiny ones that tickle your nose to giant ones that might just carry you away!

And of course it wouldn’t be a festival without some face painting magic! No matter if you want to be painted up like a tiger or jewelled like a mermaid princess, Little Picnic will have you covered!

If you don't have a Family Camping wristband, Little Picnic wristbands are available to pick up onsite.
