Laois woman Caroline Hofman is set to appear on Channel 4's hit quiz show Countdown on September 25.

Countdown is an iconic TV show known for its engaging mix of light-hearted entertainment and intellectual competition. Each episode sees two people compete in 15 rounds of words and numbers to be crowned Countdown Champion.

Caroline Hofman, the Managing Director of The CUBE Low Carbon Centre of Excellence, has been a long-time fan of the hit quiz show.

Commenting on her appearance in one of the longest-running game shows in the world, Caroline said: "I’ve been watching Countdown for so many years, so I am thrilled to feature as a contestant on the show."
