Laois actor and author Robert Sheehan will be joined by acclaimed Irish author John Boyne for a special evening at the Dunamaise Arts Centre next month
A long time supporter of the Dunamaise, Robert Sheehan, who starred in Love/Hate, Misfits and The Umbrella Academy, is donating the ticket proceeds from the night to the Dunamaise.
The talented actor is returning to Irish television screens in 'Did You Read About Erskine Fogarty?' which will air on RTÉ2 this Thursday, November 14.
He will give an exclusive talk on his new book, ‘Playing Dead, How Mediation Brought Me Back To Life’ with talented Irish author John Boyne on his debut stage at the Dunamaise.
According to the Dunamaise, this exclusive talk will “explore his life, career and journey to inner peace, as beautifully captured in his new memoir ‘Playing Dead, How Meditation Brought Me Back To Life’.”
He will be joined on stage by multi award winning author John Boyne, whose bestselling works include The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, The Heart’s Invisible Furies and A History of Loneliness “for a wide ranging conversation, peppered with excerpts from Roberts new bestseller ‘Playing Dead’ as well as a Q&A and a guided meditation.”
Tickets are available with the option to add a pre-signed copy of Roberts new book, ‘Playing Dead, How Meditation Brought Me Back To Life’. Additional books will be available for purchase on the night.
Robert is kindly donating ticket proceeds to support the Arts Centre and its continued fundraising efforts, as a celebration of 25 years of arts and entertainment in Laois.
“We are beyond grateful for his support, genuine kindness, time and love given towards supporting the arts at a local level,” the Dunamaise stated on their website.
Tickets for An Evening with Robert Sheehan and John Boyne are available with (€55.50) or without (€32.50) a pre-signed copy of Roberts new book, ‘Playing Dead, How Meditation Brought Me Back To Life’.
