Radio presenter and parish priest among judges for big Laois fundraiser

Former Today FM radio presenter Phil Cauley has been revealed as one of the judges for this weekend's fundraiser 'Ballyroan Goes to Hollywood'. 


After months of preparation Gala events will take place this Saturday and Sunday, November 23 & 24 in the Manor Hotel in aid of the development of the site known locally as the boy’s school. This development will include a Playground, Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and additional parking.


Locals have been busy filming seven movie clips, starring in favourites such as The Field, The Snapper, Sister Act, Bridesmaids, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, A Few Good Men and Father Ted.


To decide the winner the committee has revealed that Phil Cauley will lend his expertise as well as Parish Priest Fr Paddy Byrne. The committee will reveal another judge on Friday night ahead of the big event. 


Tickets for the Movie Viewing Event on November 24 are €35, with finger food provided. Dress is a choice of smart casual or formal. There are still some available on Events54.
