Indie folk singer songwriter Alice Laffan from Stradbally, known professionally as Just Alice, had a dream year. She played the Croi main stage at Electric Picnic and was singled out by festival promoter Melvin Benn for her performance. Having released her first single, Wait in 2024, she shares her plans for 2025.
“My New Year's Resolution for 2025 is to get back into reading - boring I know! I used to love reading but it’s hard to make time for it. Maybe I’ll start with this newspaper!
“My hopes for 2025 are to release more music and play more gigs! I am planning to release my debut EP in 2025 and share my original music with more people and get it out there! I’m recording my EP with independent label Youngblood Music which I signed to this year, and I’m really looking forward to sharing it. It’s a collection of songs that are really honest and I’m really excited to let people hear them.
“I’m also hoping to play a lot more gigs next year! I got the chance to play some amazing venues this year, an amazing opportunity to open the Croí stage at Electric Picnic, as well as a gig in Whelan’s Dublin, so I’m hoping to be back again for some more cool slots in 2025. Stay tuned,” the young singer said.
