Historical entertainer Paddy Cullivan in Portlaoise.
Prepare for what's promised to be a hilarious journey through Ireland's partition and a glimpse into a future United Ireland on a Laois stage shortly.
April might feature a day for fools but Paddy Cullivan wants Laois people to imagine and be entertained by what a unified country might look like with is new show I Can't Believe it's Not Ireland when they come to see the show in Portlaoise in April.
"It’s 2032. The people have spoken on both sides of the border and Ireland is a brand new 32-county country. There’s a new flag. A new anthem. Magical things happen when you create a new country – where everything is on the table – and its exciting," he outlined to the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
"Leave all your preconceptions at the door. It’s not a United Ireland. It’s not an ‘agreed’ Ireland. It’s not ‘shared’ – nor is it ‘new’. It’s simply- ‘I can’t believe it’s not Ireland‘! But first…we have to get there," he said.
