The documentary will be screened on May 8 at the Dunamaise Arts Centre.
An Oscar winning documentary is set to be screened in Portlaoise as part of a fundraising drive for Gaza relief.
Dunamaise Arts Centre is hosting the special screening of No Other Land in association with Laois Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) on Tuesday, May 8.
Created by a Palestinian-Israeli collective, No Other Land tells the urgent and deeply human story of Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist documenting the mass expulsion of his community in Masafer Yatta by Israeli forces. Spanning years of resistance and unlikely friendship, the film follows Basel and Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham as they navigate their shared fight for justice amid the brutal realities of occupation.
Winner of the Panorama Audience Award at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival, as well as the 2025 Best Documentary Oscar Win, No Other Land is a raw, intimate act of creative resistance — a vital piece of storytelling that echoes far beyond the screen.
