There was plenty of local talent on display across Laois for this year's Culture Night celebrations on Friday, September 19. Photographer Denis Byrne captured Comhaltas members in action in Mountmellick library while Renata Metelicka was in Abbeyleix library where members of Spink Comhaltas came together to share their music with the community. Also included in our gallery is the Power of Words Event held in Mooney’s, Abbeyleix. Guests were invited to bring along a story, poem or song to share during the annual nationwide celebration of the arts, our diverse culture and creativity.
