Irish Screen Stars will arrive back home to Dublin this weekend for the Irish Academy Awards, hosted by Kevin McGahern this Friday February 20.
The IFTA Awards Ceremony is set to be a spectacular home gathering of Irish actors and filmmakers, to celebrate the enormous success of Irish creative talent and to recognise achievements both in front and behind the camera.

Ciarán Hinds, star of KIN and There Will Be Blood, will receive the IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award surrounded by his family, friends, and industry peers.
The Awards will take place at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre and will be broadcast on RTE One this Saturday February 21 at 10.50pm.
Irish Screen Stars already confirmed to attend include Oscar-nominated Jessie Buckley (nominated for her award-winning performance in Hamnet), as well as Cillian Murphy (Steve), Steve Coogan (Saipan), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Golden Globe-winning star of The Tudors) and Aidan Quinn (The Walsh Sisters).

Other guests in attendance will include Irish filmmaking royalty Neil Jordan and Jim Sheridan, Stephen Rea, Oscar-nominated actor and former IFTA Lifetime Achievement recipient and Ardal O’Hanlon, award-winning actor and comedian.
The Irish Academy Awards are funded by Screen Ireland and Coimisiún na Meán. Redbreast are this year’s Official Spirit Partner and Sculpted by Aimee are this year’s Official Makeup Partner.
