As part of the national commemoration of 1916, local musicians, singers, actors and dancers are taking to the stage in a production of ‘Echoes of the Rising’ in Mountmellick Arts Centre on Friday May 20.

Organised by Mountmellick Arts Centre Committee and devised and directed by local singer, Emer Dunne, this unique and multifaceted show tells the story of the 1916 Rising in an interesting, informative and unbiased fashion.

This artistic musical production will incorporate many local members of the community including the Leona Dooley school of dance with lead dancer Aimee Gorman (Lord of the Dance), Mountmellick Macra and other local talent - something for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.
