Country music fans in the midlands are in for an exciting weekend of entertainment at Ballyroan GAA grounds this weekend.
The much-anticipated event kicks off on Saturday, August 6 with Laois native Trudi Lawlor and country music’s biggest star Nathan Carter taking to the stage.
Sunday, August 7 see one of country music’s most promising female entertainers Cliona Hagan and a firm favourite across the dancing circuit, Declan Nerney in Ballyroan.
The indoor marquee event is the first of its kind in the picturesque village.
Pat Whelan, Ballyroan Abbey chairperson is looking forward to the event.

Nathan Carter is Ireland's top country entertainer at the moment. The 26- year old Liverpool native has brought country music to a new demographic.
Carter has played sold out shows in the INEC and Vicar Street. His latest album Stayin’ Up All Night has soared to the top of the Irish Charts album charts.
Doors open at 9pm for this event each night, the marquee will host 2,000 people. A large dance-floor will be available for people who wish to dance and limited seating is also available.
There is easy access to and from location, and the venue is wheel chair accessible. A host of hospitality facilities will be available on site, with ample parking. Coach and taxi services will also be facilitated over the weekend.
Doors open at on both nights at 7pm. Full weekend tickets are priced at €30
