Snappers catch the light at Portlaoise camera club exhibition

Portlaoise Camera Club held their annual club exhibition in the Parish Centre, Portlaoise last Wednesday night, September 28.

The exhibition featured photographs of all types taken by club members. Images of landscapes, portraits, nature, composites to local landmarks are all included in the exhibition .

The official opening of the exhibition on Wednesday was chaired by the PCC Chairman Michael Carroll and was officially opened by guest speaker Pat Critchley to a great attendance from club photographers, family and friends.

A huge thanks was extended to to Pat Critchley for opening the exhibition, he gave an excellent speech and held everbody's attention with his great anecdotes.

Exhibition images will remain in the Parish Centre till the 5th October so come along and see some amazing images from the club.

In February 2011 Portlaoise Camera Club was born. A group of enthusiastic photographers came together to form what has become vibrant and very active society.

Members are all keen to learn new aspects of photography and expand on their current knowledge. Portlaoise Camera Club supporting our members to achieve their photographic goals. This will be achieved through talks, workshops, field trips and the helpful advice of other members.

Portlaoise Camera Club is aimed at people who are passionate about photography, whatever their skill level.

Classes are held on a Wednesday night from 8pm to 10pm in the Parish Centre, Portlaoise.
