Roses by any other name come to Laois to blast it out in Portlaoise

One of Ireland’s greatest Guns N’ Roses tribute bands is ready to rock the outdoor stage of Kavanaghs in Portlaoise this weekend, when Abuse Your Illusion pound out up to three hours of classic Guns N’ Roses hits.

This experienced and energetic six-piece Dublin based band formed in early 2014 and play Guns N’ Roses classics from the iconic Appetite For Destruction, Lies, Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II albums.

The band is focussed on attention to detail ensuring that all the tunes are delivered with passion, energy and accuracy with front man Neil Bailey providing the all important Axl Rose swagger and attitude.

Pounding rhythm is provided by Christian Stynes (Steven Adler) supported by Paul Ryan (Duff) pumping out bass from his 80s fenders and trusty Gallien & Krueger amp that made Duff’s sound famous.

Manning the Marshalls and wielding the iconic Les Pauls are Trev Mooney (Izzy) and Dan Cassoni (Slash).

The line up is completed by the magic of Conn Rogers (Dizzy Reid) on keys delivering those classic melodies, harmonies and backing vocal.

Abuse Your Illusion are delighted to return to Kavanaghs for a second time after a great show back in May.

The band takes to the stage this Friday November 4, at 9pm. Tickets are priced €10/€9.
