How would you feel about getting your hands on a free ticket to this year's Electric Picnic Music and Arts Festival in Laois?

Electric Picnic will take place from August 1 - September 2, and organisers are currently looking for volunteers to work 24 hours (three eight hour or four six hours shifts) over the weekend.

Volunteers are free to enjoy all the festival has to offer outside of those working hours and they don't have to buy a ticket - however, there is a refundable bond of €250 to be paid in advance of taking up your position. This includes a non-refundable €20 administration fee.

The bond is necessary to prevent people from volunteering to gain access to the site and abandoning their duties to enjoy the festivities.

Volunteer duties include directing traffic and pedestrians to campsites, providing mobile/roaming information, assisting festival-goers with queries, carrying equipment, pitching tents, checking wristbands, providing emergency assistance etc.

To apply, you must be over 18 and available to arrive at the site by noon on Thursday, August 30 - a day before the festival kicks off.

Family weekend camping, campervan and caravan tickets have sold out.

Weekend camping tickets for this year's festival will go on sale in March - the date has yet to be announced.

The acts for this year's festival will be announced when the tickets go on sale in March.
