From Durrow scarecrows to Camross fun day what's on in Laois this weekend

The brilliant Durrow Scarecrow Festival gets underway in Laois this weekend. Kicking off on Sunday, nine days of events will welcome thousands of people to the Laois village filled with scarecrows of all shapes and sizes.

There is a huge line up of events throughout the week but this Sunday you can go along and enjoy a per farm, old world machinery, round hay bales, raven haven aviaries, the old scarecrow who lived in a shoe, the Harry Potter exhibit, scarecrow Electric Picnic and much more. The Laois Walks festival continues with treks to beautiful Ballykilcavan, Rickets Rocks in Clonaslee, a family walk in Tougher Woods, Portlaoise and finishing on Tuesday with the Durrow Leafy Loop Walk. See full details below.

Camross Vintage and Camross Parish Development Association clubs are co-hosting a massive family fun day in Camross from 12-6pm on Sunday, July 27.
