Popular comedy 'Weighing In' returns to Laois stage

Back by popular demand, the lighthearted piece of theatre ‘Weighing In’ returns to the Dunamaise Arts Centre next week.

A fast-paced comedy about life, love and dieting - and how we all need to adjust the scales to find the right balance.

Easi-Slim’s new member Pam McGowan has it all. A fabulous home, two perfect kids and a successful husband. Breda has been struggling with her weight and diet - until Pam takes her in hand and power walks her into a new way of life.

Both women open up to one another but when Pam’s mask begins to slip, Breda is reminded that things aren’t always what they appear to be.

Starring Isobel Mahon (Glenroe, The Clinic) and Rose Henderson (Fair City, Father Ted), written by Ger Gallagher and directed by Caroline Fitzgerald.

'Weighing In' comes to the stage of the Dunamaise on Friday, December 14.

“Pacey, tender and packed with laughs… a calorie-free treat!” said the Sunday Times, while nomoreworkhorse.com said it “had its audience howling with laughter”.
