This Friday Kevin Morrin & Band take to the stage of Kavanaghs in Portlaoise.

Kevin Morrin is an Irish traditional ballad singer who lives in Ballylinan Co. Laois.

Kevin and his band perform songs from the great legends, including Luke Kelly, The Dubliners, Liam Clancy, Tommy Makem and Finbar Furey to name a few.

Kevin began singing traditional ballads because of his love for legendary songs that are at the heart of Irish history but is just as much at home singing more contemporary ballads.

Kevin Morrin is quickly becoming one of the most exciting ballad singers on the scene.

Kevin’s range and versatility have thrilled capacity crowds already in the likes of the Dunamaise Theatre, The Moat Theatre Nass, and The Home Rule Club Kilkenny.

Added to this, the Main Stage appearance at the Fleadh in Ennis last year saw him play to a crowd of over 5,000 people.

Kevin is joined by a group of very talented and experienced musicians, with John Hosey on guitar and vocals, Seosamh O Faolain on guitar, mandolin and banjo, and Vincent Crowley on piano.

This is sure to be an evening to be enjoyed and remembered when Kevin and the band take to the stage of Kavanaghs this Friday, December 7.

Tickets are €12 and are available from the bar or online from www.kavanaghsportlaoise.com.

Kevin regularly sells out venues when he performs so it's advisable to secure tickets for the show straight away.
Doors open at 9pm, with Kevin & Band on stage at 9.30pm. Visit the venue website for more information.
