Music fans are in for a treat this Friday night when the Strat Pack takes over the Dunamaise Arts centre for a unique gig, all in celebration of the iconic Fender Stratocaster.
As well as hearing tracks from the 1950s to the present day played by some of the town’s most talented musicians on Fender Stratocasters, people will also be donating their ticket price to the Dunamaise Arts Centre as the gig is a fundraiser to raise much needed funds for the county’s centre.
Organiser Eamon Dunne said that the gig was a great opportunity both for local musicians and Portlaoise musicians living away from home to return to Portlaoise.
“We have been rehearsing since early September, it is great for us all to get together as we are all normally off galavanting. We’ve hired a portacabin house for rehearsals to house all the egos”, he joked. Tickets are already selling fast for this gig so get them soon from the Dunamaise.
