The Christmas atmosphere is palpable in St Paul’s School yet again this year.
The school is sparkling with Christmas decorations and the cribs and Christmas tress reflect the spirit of the season.
The boys of 6th classes are busy preparing for the Panto which will be performed on the nights of the December 18 & 19 with matinees on December 16 & 17.
This year’s show is called ‘Cinder Eile’ and it is the 10th panto of the school directed and produced by Principal, Des Sutton. The sets, costumes, lights and sound are very impressive and professional. Des is helped by all staff making this a whole school effort. Valerie Dooley, choreographer, has excelled again this year. The dancing and the dancers are amazing. It was St Paul’s panto, Oliver (2002) that Love/Hate Star, Robert Sheehan, first performed.
St Paul’s is making history this year as for the first time; the girls of 4th and 5th classes are part. And what an addition they are – the dresses, the jewellery and the make-up are first class. With 120 children taking part this year is a record-breaker.
