Laois auction of luxury Seve Ballesteros hotel suite furniture

A five star luxury Laois hotel undergoing refurbishment is selling off items including the contents of the Seve Ballesteros Suite.

The Heritage Golf Club with its course designed by the late great golfer, is undergoing a substantial refurbishment.

All interiors and contents are being upgraded and the accommodation will be expanded to include another 36 luxury rooms.

An online auction will be held in early April by Laois auctioneers Sean Eacrett Auctions.

It will include the entire contents of the two club bars, the Seve Ballesteros Suite and the members lounge.

On offer will be chandeliers, lanterns, tables, chairs and everything else in those bars and the suite.

All the items will be on view on the seaneacrettauctions.ie in the coming weeks.

It is one of three auctions by Sean Eacrett of the contents of luxury Irish hotels in the coming weeks. 

The first auction, that of the contents of the five star contemporary Dublin City Hotel takes place online on March 15. There are 380 lots including 134 Mustard velour tub chairs valued at €80 -120 (pictured below).

Then on March 28, the first of three auctions of the contents of the Five Star Lough Erne Resort Auction takes place.

The collection includes stylish chairs, mahogany veneer desks and cabinets along with mirrors and pictures. The auctioneers suggest that "such a hoard might suit individual taste but due to the excellent condition of the articles would be a great purchase for a small to medium hotel looking to refurbish".

It offers: Fifty stylish wing back chairs floral fabric €80 -€120. Fifty fabric floral tub chairs €60-€100. Fifty mahogany veneer bedroom desks €80 -€120. One hundred mahogany veneer bedside lockers €40 - €60, One hundred ebonised gilt table lamps €30 -50.

Fifty glass door cabinets  €40 - €50, Fifty luggage racks €30 +, Fifty mirrors in mahogany veneer €30 - €50, Fifty pictures, gilt prints €30 - €50, Fifty mahogany veneer headboards, both single and double.  Contents also include more items such as full length double lined drapes of 2.5 meters, in both floral and plain patterns.
