Luxury Laois golf resort bar furniture goes up for auction

A big change is taking place at the five star opulent Heritage Golf Resort in Killenard, Laois, with all the contents of its bars and restaurants to be auctioned off.

There will be bargains for interested buyers as the top quality furnishings will be sold off at no reserve price. 

There was "no expense spared" when the golf resort was built, notes Laois auctioneers Sean Eacrett Antiques.

The resort was opened less than 20 years ago in 2004, having being built along with the adjoining Heritage Hotel by Laois property developer Tom Keane.

"The total estimated cost of the contents when originally built was between €200,000 to 400,000 so there was no expense spared. From chandeliers to full bars all will have to go," they say.

They explain why the furnishings are all being sold.

"This is due to a change of use due to refurbishment to accommodation and all the new bars and restaurants will go on ground level when finished".

The items will all be sold on the timed auction to be held on Sunday, August 6 starting at 6pm.

The items can be viewed in person by appointment only through Sean Eacrett Auctions and also on their website.
