A new doggy business venture is opening in Laois, where dogs can happily go Off Laois.

Woofland Dog park is opening on Saturday, May 11, offering private 45 minute sessions where dogs of all kinds can book in to have a fun runaround an agility course in a secure big 1.75 acre park.

Located in Morette, Emo near Portlaoise, it is the second Woof Land park in Ireland, operated by a Mayo dog loving mother and daughter trio Eileen, Clare and Sarah.

It will also be the first dog park in Laois, at least until Laois County Council opens their promised free dogpark in Portlaoise this year.

Clare told the Leinster Express / Laois Live about it.

"Woofland Dog Park is a new enclosed, off leash dog park providing fun, freedom, and security for all types of dogs, open every day from 9am to sunset.

"Our purpose-built dog park is enclosed by 1.8m high wire fencing and a double gated entry system to give you peace of mind while your dog revels in their newfound freedom.

"Inside the dog park you will find lots of fun activities such as our handcrafted fun-agility course or our seasonal photo booths as well as a quirky shelter so you can enjoy the park no matter the weather! Poop bags and bins are also readily available to help everyone keep the park clean. There is no water supply on site, so we recommend you bring your own water.

"Whether your dog prefers solo adventures or enjoys making new friends, Woofland Dog Park is the ulti-mutt dog park for a tail-wagging good time!

"Our private sessions are great for nervous or reactive dogs, as you can enjoy exclusive use of Woofland dog park for 45 minutes with no other distractions nearby; whilst our social sessions are a fantastic opportunity for dogs and owners alike to mingle, share experiences, and have a blast in a secure environment. Our social sessions are weather permitting and run during the Summer," Clare said.

Their other Woofland Dog Park is in Claremorris in Mayo.

The grand opening of Woofland Dog Park is on Saturday, May 11 and Father David Vard will be on hand to bless the park and all the dogs who visit it.

Woof Land Dog Park offers both private and social sessions which must be booked in advance through their website  www.wooflanddogpark.com. Private sessions cost €15 for 45 minutes.
