Two Laois businesses are vying for recognition at this year's Bar of the Year awards.
The Fisherman's Thatched Inn, Ballybrittas has been nominated in two categories, Traditional Bar of the Year and Outside Space of the Year.
Meanwhile The Heritage, Killenard is nominated for Hotel Bar of the Year.
The awards, organised by the Ashville Media Group, received more entries than ever this year with over 700 submissions.
"After intense deliberation only the best bars have been shortlisted as finalists. After months of rigorous evaluation and an exhaustive search for the most exceptional venues, we are thrilled to showcase the crème de la crème of the bar industry," said Ashville Media Group.
"We are thrilled to recognise the outstanding talents and remarkable establishments that have been selected as finalists for The Bar of the Year Awards. These individuals and venues have consistently raised the bar, delivering unparalleled experiences and pushing boundaries within the industry. We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at the upcoming awards ceremony."
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by Anton Savage on Monday, August 19 in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
