George Leahy has been announced as the new General Manager at Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise.
Originally from Cork, George was promoted to General Manager at the four-star hotel following the move by his predecessor, Dara Cruise, to Neville Park Hotels where he is now the Group General Manager. The Neville Park Hotel group encompasses the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise, Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy, and Crown Quarter in Wexford Town.
In his new position as General Manager, George will be at the helm of all aspects of the hotel's operations. He first joined Midlands Park Hotel in 2018 as Banqueting Manager and became Hotel Manager in 2022.
Regarding George's promotion, Colm Neville from Neville Park Hotels said: "Since joining Midlands Park Hotel six years ago, George’s passion for hospitality has been invaluable in delivering the very best guest experience and warm welcome that the hotel is known and loved for. We congratulate George on his well-deserved promotion and look forward to his continued success.”
George has two decades worth of experience in the hospitality sector. Following his training with the Fitzpatrick Hotel Group, he held multiple management positions at some of Ireland's leading hotels, including Adare Manor, Castleroy Park Hotel and the Montenotte.
