People First Credit Union has extended its deadline for applications for their €10,000 Community Champions Award.
This is the second year of the award which is aimed at recognising and supporting the extraordinary efforts of local volunteer groups within our common bond area.
The Credit Union said they have extended the application deadline until Friday, October 11 due to popular demand.
"We are looking for projects that are creative and have the power to make life better for people in our community," they said.
This initiative, which debuted last year, was first awarded to the deserving winners, Portlaoise Tidy Towns, for their outstanding biodiversity project.
The three finalists will be announced at the Community and Voluntary Awards on 8th November 2024, with the winner being revealed at our AGM in January 2025.
