Proposal lodged for construction of new Enterprise and Employment park in Laois
Laois County Council has received a planning application for the construction of an Enterprise & Employment Park in Townparks, Borris-in-Ossory.
Kevin Flanagan has submitted the application for permission to build five serviced sites on a site of 2.95ha. The proposal includes the development of vehicle, pedestrian and cycle access onto the existing R445 as well as a new arm off the R445 roundabout.
As part of the plans, there would also be an internal road, footpath and cycle lane network. Other associated site works would include foul and surface water drainage, landscaping and boundary treatment, an ESB Substation, lighting and signage.

A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will also be submitted to the planning authority with the application.
Laois County Council are due to make a decision on the application on 1 April.
