The business community in Ballylinan are being asked to have their say in a new survey to plan for the future of the village.
The business survey was developed by Ballylinan community members who have been working with South East Technical University, with backing from Laois County Council's Regeneration Unit. The initiative is part of a long term plan to regenerate towns and villages.
A public meeting is also being held on Wednesday, February 19 at 7.45 pm in St Anne’s Hall, Ballylinan to elect a new Town Team committee.
This particular survey is for business stakeholders but a broader community survey will also be released to reflect the ambitions of residents and groups. The insights of both surveys will inform a future Town Team plan for Ballylinan.
"It will help the community understand what the businesses of your village and surrounding areas need for the future to make it a better place," said the organisers.
"We would like to hear what you have to say about your village. What are your thoughts and feelings about the area that you live in?".
Business owners and those in business can take part in the survey here before the closing date on Monday, February 17 at 5 pm. Should you have any questions you can reach out to sharon.harrisbyrne@setu.ie and/or una.grant@setu.ie
