It is part of a series of events with inspiring female entrepreneurs being run by Laois Local Enterprise Office (LEO).

She will be in Portlaoise on Tuesday, May 27 to deliver the ‘Inspiring Growth and Opportunity’ event in the Midlands Park Hotel from 6pm to 7.30pm.

“The highly practical and insightful session offers a fresh take on business growth - designed specifically for women with existing businesses who are looking to grow, pivot, or realign with a deeper sense of purpose as well as those new to entrepreneurship,” said Laois LEO.

Susan Hayes Culleton or ‘The Positive Economist’ is Managing Director of the Hayes Culleton Group, with clients across Europe and the US. She is a six-time author including ‘Money Matters’ and has twice co-authored ‘Positive Economics’, the market-leading Leaving Cert economics textbook in Ireland.

Image consultant and personal shopper Breeda O’Connell will be in Laois on Thursday, August 28 when she will discuss how to dress with confidence, clarity and impact. This event will take place in Castle Durrow from 1pm to 3pm.

“Breeda will speak on topics such as style confidence, dressing with intention, colour analysis and creating a wardrobe that reflects your personal and professional identity. Breeda is a passionate and highly experienced image consultant who has worked with hundreds of women to show how personal style can support their everyday lives, as well as their most extraordinary moments,” say the organisers.

Later in the year women in business will also be in the spotlight when Laois LEO will celebrate National Women’s Enterprise Day on Thursday, October 16 from 11am to 2pm at Gloster House and Gardens, County Offaly.

“We're proud to continue supporting and celebrating Laois Women in Business in 2025!” said Laois LEO. Whether you're just starting out or scaling your business, we’ve lined up empowering events and networking opportunities designed just for you.
“These sessions are about more than business – they’re about connection, confidence, and community.”
