Laois County Council have issued a tender in search of a marketing company to promote the J17 National Enterprise Park in Portlaoise.
The Business Support Unit of Laois County Council is searching for a company to 'coordinate information gathering' and 'develop and deliver a comprehensive, multi-channel campaign' that will promote the enterprise park as a premier business location.
The Portlaoise park consists of 270 acres of enterprise/industrial zoned lands which includes lands owned by Laois County Council, IDA and private ownership.
Two large companies have expanded to the business park in recent months.
Midland Steel, based in Mountmellick recently opened a vast new plant in J17 National Enterprise Park in Portlaoise to produce its unique FasterFix Ready Mesh, doubling its workforce to about 140 employees.
BNL Sciences, part of the international company Caldic, recently announced their intentions to build a new plant in the park.
"Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced companies," the tender read.
Payment for this six month contract is a whopping €130,000, excluding VAT. The deadline for applicants is Monday July 28 at 4pm.
The Enterprise Park is a strategically positioned Enterprise and Employment zone situated directly at the M7/M8 motorway interchange," the Council said.
"The J17 National Enterprise Park is focused on heavy, light and ICT industry, trade warehousing, distribution, logistics and other uses associated with the transport industry.
"Located directly on the M7/M8 National Motorway Network it enables easy access to Cork, Limerick and Dublin including Dublin Airport and Port within one hour," they finished.
