A Laois autism charity have launched a new fundraising campaign and are calling for support from local businesses.
Laois Offaly Families For Autism (LOFFA) have launched their brand new countertop collection boxes this week.
LOFFA is a local, non-profit charity based in Laois and Offaly who support the membership of over 100 local families who have a child with a diagnosis of autism.
"These boxes are beautifully designed and now available for businesses across Laois and Offaly!" the charity said.
"A huge thank you to the many businesses already on board — your support is helping us raise vital funds and awareness for families living with autism in our community."
For those who wish to get involved, or have a donation box at their place of business, the group have asked
interested parties to contact them through their Facebook page. Alternatively, LOFFA can be contacted through email at info@loffa.ie.
"We’ll happily arrange everything," they encouraged.
"Let’s continue building a supportive, inclusive community — one counter at a time," LOFFA finished.
Last April, over 160 businesses and 70 schools across the Midlands supported LOFFA's Rainbow Week fundraiser.
"The people in Laois Offaly are just fantastic, we have had so much support over the last four years and we would like to sincerely thank them," LOFFA Chairperson Breda Murray told the Leinster Express / Laois Live at the time.
"LOFFA subsidised a massive €39,500 in private therapies in 2024 for our members, this would not of being possible without rainbow day," she finished.
