Businesses across Laois have been invited to take part in a workshop on all things sustainability.

The CUBE Low Carbon Centre of Excellence in Portlaoise are hosting the event which will be led by Antaris Consulting, Ireland's leading independent sustainability consultancy, in partnership with Laois County Council's Regenerative Tourism Activator.

As research has shown that more and more young people favour businesses that prioritise sustainability and positive environmental practices, local businesses are encouraged to get involved and learn more about how they can become more sustainable.

The workshop is targeted for those in hospitality, tourism and retail. From the event, people will learn how to develop their own sustainability plan relevant to their business, craft a powerful statement for their website, learn how to communicate their plan with customers, and speak in confidence about their sustainability credentials.

Businesses will also learn more about the importance of drafting a sustainability plan and how it can benefit their business and even profit margins.

The workshop will take place at The CUBE in Portlaoise on Monday, November 24. Registration will begin at 9.30am and the workshop will run from 10am to 1pm.

If you're interested in taking part, you must book your spot by emailing the Regenerative Tourism Activator, Regina Dunne, at rdunne@laoiscoco.ie or call 0578664016.
