A Dublin construction business has snapped up the last of four serviced industrial enterprise sites on sale by Laois County Council in Portarlington.

The site measuring 0.476 hectares is Site C in Canal Road Business Park, Portarlington.

It has been bought by Priority Construction, who have bases in Clontarf, and in Edinburgh in Scotland. They will pay €170,000 plus VAT for the land.

The timeline, plans and number of jobs to be created is yet to be confirmed by Priority Construction to the Leinster Express / Laois Live.

It was the last of four sites left on the market in the recently built enterprise park by Laois County Council on part of the site of the former Avon Factory.

Fletchers Hardware in Portarlington bought one, and Derry construction company, P McVey Building Systems had bought the other two. Read about their plans here.

Priority Construction provides turnkey civil engineering services, including earthworks, site preparation, roads, drainage, landfill, remediation, wastewater treatment, and concrete structures across various industries.
