Farm payments figures revealed
Laois farmers received over €38m in CAP payments.
That's according to Department of Agriculture figures which are based on Single Farm Payments for the years, 2014 and 2015.
The average payment per hectare in Laois was €327.14. The total area claimed was 117,722.515 hectares
Neighbouring counties had the following payments: Offaly, €35,022916, Kildare, 30,269,599, Kilkenny €51,335,845, Carlow €23,622,777 and Tipperary €95,197,056.
