James will be joined by a panel of speakers, including Paul Candon, M.D. of Mc Cabe Pharmacy Group and former Operations Manager of Topaz and Alice Fennelly, Town Leadership Team, Naas.
Paul Candon is the Chief Executive Officer for McCabes Pharmacy Group and Non-Executive Chairman of United Hardware Limited (Home value and Arrow).
Previously Paul held a number of executive roles with Topaz Energy Limited. Paul has worked in retail for over 30 years and former Chairman of Retail Excellence Ireland.
Alice Fennelly is the Coordinator of Naas Town Centre Revival Project.
The town of Naas was facing a challenge two years ago. Retail closures, parking challenges and poor trading results.
The town's businesses were faced with a choice, whether to succumb to the negativity that was bedding itself in or to roll up its sleeves and tackle the challenges head on.
Today, Naas Town Centre has turned the corner and ahead lies exciting times and a strong commercial future for its business.
This short but high impact seminar is targeted at owners and managers in the following sectors – retail, restaurants and cafes, pharmacies, hotels, gyms, beauty salons, hairdressers, opticians, dentists, GPs and other service providers and any consumer facing business and will explore the challenges facing these sectors and identify some successful case studies who have succeeded in their field.
The agenda for the seminar will include a presentation by James Burke on the retail landscape 2018 where James will overview the challenges and successes being seen around the country and will highlight easy wins for individual businesses and town centres.
Alice Fennelly will give the Naas Town Centre story and you will hear how a town centre can successfully take control of its own future and achieve success.
Paul Candon will give an overview of the National landscape, focussing on retail challenges and opportunities.
