Presentation in London to McKeon Stone

Landmark Stradbally stone business McKeon Stone was honoured recently at the British Stone Federation Awards in London.

Niall Kavanagh accepted McKeon's second major award for the same building at London's Grange Tower Bridge Hotel on Friday, December 7.

The winner in the Craftsmanship category was the Cotswolds Chapel. Great credit and thanks is due to the great skill and commitment of the employees in McKeon Stone and Threecastles, Kilkenny.

McKeon Stone supplied Kilkenny Blue Limestone with a dark-honed finish, which was made into columns, niches, the string course, a plinth, stone flooring and the chapel's altar.

Mr Kavanagh said the simple lines of the chapel were designed to emphasise the quality of the building materials.
