Laois IBYE winners in 2017.
The clock is counting down rapidly to the closing date for applications for Laois' Best Young Entrepreneur 2019 where young people in business can be in with a chance to boost their ambitions in a practical way.
The Laois Local Enterprise Office is running the awards.
It says the awards are open to young people in business aged 18-35 years old in Laois with a business idea or is running a business.
Local Enterprise Office Laois is searching for entrepreneurs to enter in three categories:
Best Business Idea
Best Start-up (trading less than 18 months)
Best Established Business (trading for more than 18 months).
Applicants are in with a chance to win a share of the €50,000 investment fund for Laois.
All applications will be assessed and 15 applicants (five in each category) will be shortlisted and partake in the IBYE Bootcamp.
They will then go forward to the County Final on May 2.

The IBYE programme run by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) with the support of the Department of Enterprise and Innovation and Enterprise Ireland.
With an IBYE investment fund of €50,000 each, every LEO will award up to six investments to three category winners and three runners-up at county level. The local winners in the Best Start-Up and Best Established Business categories at county level will receive investments of up to €15,000 each and the two runners-up will each receive up to €5,000.
