Two big Laois shops reopen after the Covid-19 lockdown today, Monday, June 15.

The Laois-based national chain, Shaws Department Stores, reopens at 10.30 am. 

The first hour each day is designated for 'vulnerable customers'. Andrew Shaw was on duty at HQ in Portlaoise early Monday getting the shop ready to be open after being shut since April. MORE BELOW PICTURE.

Penneys also continue with its phased reopening in Portlaoise at 10.30 am at the Laois Shopping Centre where the centre's manager Kevin Doyle was on duty early Monday monitoring proceedings.

All off-street shops in locations such as shopping Centres can open on Monday.
